Audi Tackles Gender Inequality In Super Bowl Commercial
Ahead of this weekend's Super Bowl, Audi has released its 60-second spot set to air during the third quarter and it has already caused quite a stir.
Dubbed 'Daughter', the commercial tackles one of the most divisive issues facing us all, gender inequality.
It focuses on the story of a young girl competing in a downhill car race while surrounded by males. In the background, her father acts as the narrator and queries whether he'll have to tell his daughter about how women can be treated as less than their male counterparts.
It ends with a message that 'Audi of America is committed to equal pay for equal work' and the S5 Sportback.
Since its release, the commercial has already been viewed over 1.8 million times and remarkably, almost 10,000 people have downvoted it on YouTube compared to just over 700 upvotes.
While it is obvious that not everyone is a fan, it has certainly generated interest and got people talking about Audi.
